just a quick update from mom bean.
no picture though.
darnit!
pengy trotted into the living room moments ago with one of thier many play mice within her bitey. she stood there. had the huntress look about her. tight grip.
when i , in my high pitched cutesey voice ask her,
'did you find your micey' ?
she remains still. tight grip. puffed shoulders.
i then notice her play mousey has a nice LONG tail. unusual.
i stare.
i know what this means.
its REAL!
it has been 20 minutes since this moment and the mouse was chased under our couch and has yet to come out. GREAT!!!
did you KNOW when your cat brings you gift (mouse, bird etc.) leaving it for you (whether at your feet, doorstep, on the floor or perhaps your head) it is their way of teaching YOU how to hunt. : ) it also means they LOVE and appreciate you.

I do that too...after I nibble off the chewy bits ;)
Oh wow a real mousie and you gave it to your mum, that is realy nice of you.. HUgs GJ xx
Mum is always convinced that the dead rats Thomas O'Toole leaves on the doorstep are not in fact gifts, but warnings of his capabilities should she ever forget who's boss
Wow! What a good hunter you are with a real mousie!!!
Nice gift for mom. We are all getting too old for the hunt. After a few mintues we lose interst. Wen we were younger we never gave up until we got 'im!
So, mousey is loose in the house? Let the hunt begin!
Purrrfect gift for the mom, I just don't understand why the moms don't get it?
That was a very thoughtful gift. Mum prefers it if we have made them go dead before we bring them in so she doesn't have to try and get it out from under the fridge or cooker.
We wanted to post a long comment but we have to go revive Mom!!
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
Isn't it nice to be loved? And to have a mouse under your couch?
hahameow. Our mewmie knows all our pretend mice have no tails, so she would have been huffing at us right away!
Our Mom would have flipped! Hahaha!
