frog spa?
today i opened the cover to our hot-tub letting the sunlight clean it. after an hour passed i flipped the other half over to clean its' portion; this is what i saw:
we have had so many frogs within our yard lately. remember our recent Ribbit post. we have also had many many praying matis around our door frame; my husband told me it is good luck when they appear. i love living out in the country. we see all wildlife here; rabbits, deer, groundhogs, etc., and our neighbors cows, goats, horses. i am blessed to live here. truely. it is a piece of my zen.

Cool... I don't think the frog would like the spa too much though...
Hot Frog! It IS nice to see wildlife. We often hear coyotes at night; we are on the edge of the desert at Lake Mead National Park.
Even though we live in the middle of probably the biggest urban sprawl of the U.S. (i.e., southern California), we get lots of deer, raccoon, lizards, possums, skunks and all sorts of other creatures around here. We even had a hawk fly into our enclosed patio once (he needed help getting back out!). No frogs, though - it is too desert-dry here. And praying mantii are uncommon. My human thinks this is a good thing for little guys (I, on the other hand, think they would make great cat toys... maybe that is what my human is talking about).
I miss the wildlife of the country, but I see some of it here in town. There is an active Dairy and a long horn ranch with in a mile of the house. I see cows and coyotes! Across town there is another ranch that has horses, sheep, cows ans llama's! All within the city limits. Plus we see rabbits, possums, raccoon's, squirrel's and armadillo's in the neighborhood yards.
Good to know that a praying mantis is good luck. i saw one on the back door when feeding the outside kitties!
I haven't seen a mantis in years. They are very good luck.
Your place sounds awesome! Love wildlife!
