kittens playtime

here are some photos taken today of the kittens barefoot in the grass. their 1st outing adventure,

















the kittens are about 50/50 weaned. we will be taking them to PAWS for placement. that is hard :( but i know best for them in going to forever homes.

2 of our 4 do this. to a T. well, perhaps minus the bat.
the suggestion is, GET UP human and feed me which is delivered in a way only a cuddly, furbaby can do .

okay, here are some of our first pictures with our camera. we are not using the camera phone anymore. can we get a yeehaw! but, honestly the flashy thing is a bit much but we can deal. our first photo reflects weather. yep. it has managed to go from an 80 degree day to a brrr degree night,
our second photo op is this one. no words necessary. a ladys' gotta bathe!

and this one. again, wordless. she makes mommas (and daddies-she is really daddies girl) heart squee at her cuteness,

now this one is a cats take on the brady bunch squares (you know what i mean, looking up at the others.) ahh, but seriously, we just love his gentle eyes, he is def. mommas boy,

so, our first round of camera photos are established with our cat junior and stripes. we will be stalking pengy and lucky for their turn at photo ops soon.

spontaneous safety first

so, as the weather increasingly climbs warmer and i must get back into shape (or at least my jeans) a slot in my day becomes filled with my hiking routine. i enter into our wooded state park, exiting about an hour-twenty later. feeling wonderful!

but the kitties have noticed that their stay-at-home mommy is gone from their house for this time period and are not too happy about that (or are they? because i notice some cat nip thrown about and pillows across the floor. a house party perhaps)?

nevertheless, they have inquired... and this morning i found these two items strategically placed in front of the t.v. with a note attached which read, ' we wuvs our mommie, n need hers safe out dar so fer happy eggster we giving you dees'...

...while attempting a photo of horsie's face (without overstepping any boundaries) from my car window, he was super shy. and probably pretty tired as well. poor little fellow. they do alot of human chauffeuring!! i spoke horsie to him as best i could. we have amish folk on either side of us (about one mile to two radius each) and we see buggies out 'n about frequently; another part of our country life i find relaxing & appreciate. the vibating sound of horse hooves on pavement out front of our house is unique and throws me back a little in time. it is a welcomed feeling to know while life moves on a small piece of it has found its own way to stand still.
